Campaign Story

Hi everyone, my name is Michael and I am reaching out for some community support to help secure my home before the rainy season worsens.

During the heavy windstorms last week, a large tree branch broke off and impacted the rear section of my roof. The impact cracked several major shingles and compromised the underlying flashing, creating a direct leak into our kitchen ceiling every time it rains. Right now, we are getting by using tarps and buckets, but the water damage is starting to spread to the drywall.

I have received an official estimate from a local licensed roofing contractor to fix the damage. The total cost to strip the broken sections, replace the damaged plywood underneath, install new shingles, and properly reseal the flashing comes out to exactly $1,000.

As I am currently on a fixed income, covering this sudden emergency expense upfront is a massive challenge. Any help you can provide—whether it is a small donation or simply sharing this campaign with others—will go directly toward paying the contractor so we can get our home safe, dry, and secure again.

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity!
